FerrySearch is a ferry comparison and discovery website. We help you search journeys and compare route information before sending you to a third-party ferry or booking partner to complete a booking. FerrySearch does not take payment for those bookings.
Information we use
We process the journey and vehicle details you enter into the comparison form so we can prepare a search handoff. The browser may also provide technical information such as device, browser, approximate location and IP address through hosting and security logs. Search handoff details are held temporarily in the browser session while you review them.
Why we use it
We use information to operate the website, provide comparison functionality, prepare partner referrals, keep the service secure, respond to enquiries and improve the service where you have allowed optional measurement.
Partners and sharing
When you continue to a booking partner, that partner receives the journey information needed for the referral and controls what happens on its website. We may use hosting, infrastructure and referral partners to operate FerrySearch. We do not receive your partner payment-card details through this site.
Lawful bases and rights
We rely on legitimate interests to operate and secure FerrySearch and provide a search you request, and consent for optional analytics or marketing measurement. You can request access, correction, erasure, restriction, objection or portability where applicable, and withdraw consent at any time. You can complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office.
Retention and changes
Temporary search handoff data is kept only for the browser session. Server and security logs are retained according to the hosting and security requirements of the service. We update this policy when our processing materially changes. Last updated: 20 September 2026.
